Default my generic build thread

Well as some know my car pretty much tried to suffocate itself by ingesting force fed oil(turbo seals). So I think I am going to part it.

Lol I couldn't do that I have too much time, sweat and blood invested in this car to part it. So I guess I will start to chronicle my rebuild on here.

One more picture of how it sits for a before pic.

Well, we've already parted 1 1/2 of Doug's Porsches, may as well finish the set...

Might as well upgrade the turbo while you're in there!....and lots of other things as you slide down the slippery slope.

Yea I know I think for now it will be a reseal, 26/6 turbo rebuild, bearings, clutch/pp, ceramic coat exhaust, Tial Wg, motor mounts and sensors. But who knows. There are some pretty good deals on used good turbo's.

i'd sell you my k26/6... but after i cleaned it, polished the hot and cold housings (inside) cleaned the shaft i still kept thinking "what if it still dosn't want to spool"

i went from searching a used k27/x to a new turbo from a vendor (t04e 50 trim) to a gt3076r to a gtx3076r all because i couldn't get my hands on any of them. except the gt3076r i decided to go gtx after i found a good dealer in Aus.

Let's see who finishes first lol. im also removing the engine, new clutch pp and all. oil pan gasket and probably other small things.

good luck

odds are you are going to finish before me, I still need to source a good block, and the $$ to do the build.

Plus I have like 4 more cars to do before this one gets worked on, so for now I am slowly sourcing parts.
