Default 928 Interior Thread

Trying not to hijack so many threads so let's just start one.

Paul and I were talking about the seats in Dr. Steves car and about shifter boots.

Any ideas on a contrasting color to go with Burgundy? I am having Burgundy overload.

OK, let's kick this pig

Here is a teaser preview of what I am bringing to Richard tomorrow.
I can't show more, because I don't want to spoil the surprise for him:

Damn, I get to install those things Monday.

Good thing is I just finished the Aero Mirrors, Eibach/Boges, alignment, and a lot of other things to Richards car. He's going to be so damn happy come Tuesday.

Obvious choice would be black. Those 2 work well together.

A light tan also works well.

You can also play on texture instead of color. Alcantara or suede can be helpful there, as would something like this below.

I think he will be pretty impatient to try them out

There will be a matching set of door inserts also.

With all the work that as been put in, that is becoming one respectable shark

My seats/dash/doors panels are all in great shape. My carpet is looking old so I was thinking of changing the carpet and maybe the door insert to another color. Do the door panels have to come of to change the insert? If so I will change the lower door panel also.

In that case, I would choose a lighter color, to add contrast. A good set would be: steering wheel, shifter and boot, a contrasting piping on the door inserts and some straps between the pads in your seat inserts, all in tan.
If you want more, the door handles and the lid of the door compartments, can also be done without disturbing the "trident"

Match that to a new carpet and it would give you a very classy interior.

My $0.02

Paul

$.02 very appeciated. All great ideas. I can't remember ever seeing the door compartment in a different color.

You have to also do the door handle for it to work.
It's also a good time to add some door armrest pads and make the interior more comfortable on long drives.

I assume Dr. Steve's interior is Cashmere and black....Same color as mine. Paul did a black shifter and boot with cashmere stitching for me I really like......now if I could just get Paul to finish my steering wheel!!!

I'm the odd one. I seem to think Burgundy goes with cream or white contrast stitching.

Wait. Isn't that the colors on the crazy Audi Baseball glove interior?
Nope. Found a pic.
