Default highly optioned '90 GT on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-...item3a543dde60

Oh, and the Low Miler infamous disclaimer, no affiliation. This looks like a pretty nice GT with some heavy factory options. I ran a Carfax and it does show an accident in New York in '94, but whether Carfax shows an accident or not, most have been wrecked or had paintwork at some point. Nice car.

Looks nice. The driver's seat doesn't have the messed up bolster that 95% of all Porsches have.

Depending on the severity of the accident, $18,900 looks like a very attractive price for such a heavily optioned, relatively low mileage example. If I were in the market, I'd pull the trigger quickly on the BIN provided the seller would make it contingent on a PPI to my satisfaction.

Standard disclaimer-the above is my opinion only, and I have no vested interest in the sale of the subject vehicle.

I shouldn't have been so general using the term "all". Let's say "most" have been in an accident or had paintwork. Just my personal experience from looking at alot of supposed accident free 928's that were definitely in an accident or had paintwork at some point. I'll correct the original post to show "most".

This has been pointed out to me before by a good shop in Western PA. The owner said his experience was that just about every 928 he'd seen had been a wreck of some sort or another. Finding an unmolested one appears to be a challenge.

Thanks Todd, guess I've been lucky. Only one that ever had paintwork was the very first one I bought. Had a whole new front end on it and the dealer failed to mention that to me but eventually I found out.......

What's next for you? Got any you can talk about yet?

Since a shop in western PA must necessarily have seen cars from that region, I guess that says something about cars in, that, region, and the drivers IN THAT REGION.

Hi, Rick.

Hi, Rick.
Hey, don't look at me! I haven't "molested" any 928s in this region. Maybe oogled, touched inappropriately and drooled on some. But, never, NEVER "molested" any........YET.

True enough Steve, but the few mechanics who know sharks out here say the same thing. I doubt there are any real statistics on this.

Nice defamatory speculation there.

If you will look at the pictures, you'll see it has option code 498, which just so happens to be "Without rear model designation".

I did, I saw "a" sticker and "a" picture. But no real proof it is on THAT car.

But lets say it really was ordered that way.

So the orig owner was future planning?

And who in the world uses that word "defamatory"

I bet Sam K did. Or even bigger words. I'll never forget the bimbo (her name escapes me) he taunted in one of Howard Stern's tapes, she started it, but he ended it. "Oh, this isn't going to be a battle of wits, is it?" Like a steel trap.

Well, back to regular programming.
