Default O2 Sensor in 2000 2.7T

Thought I would be the first in!

I've got the CEL going and scanner says lean left bank.
Research shows its the O2 sensors...... How hard are the four O2 sensors
to change in an 2000 2.7T with Tip?

I like the new digs, JD!

When I had that same problem with my '00 S4 it turned out to be the MAF.

Depending on mileage you might want to see if Audi will replace the MAF for free. I think they extended the warranty for 2.7T engine because of problems with the original part.

Edit:
Looks like the extended warranty was 7 years/7k miles, so probably not.

Just Did mine in my 00'Tip and the two behind the cats are obviously pretty easy. The two in front... well thats another story. Time and patience but overall it is not an exceptionally difficult job.

Thanks guys. I got the VAG COM kit and found the EGT sensor is out of range, too.

This may be part of a lean condition by failed O2 sensors....

Eidolon, did you access the pre-cat sensors from the top of the engine or were they accessible from the bottom?

Well..... I took the car to my independent shop and found out the internal turbo seals are blown. This explains the oil leak and dead O2 sensors..... Luckily I bought an extended warranty and hope they cover most of the costs....... Crossing fingers.

On the plus-side, doing the sensors, etc will be a snap for the shop once the engine is out of the car.

How did this turn out for you? I know the motor needs to come out to get to the turbos...
