The intercooler is partially all custom. What I mean by that is this:

It started out life as a bell custom core. Then it was bought by a company that makes aftermarket parts for turbo BMWs (I can't remember the name, though. originally made for an e36, I flipped it upside down). The end tanks are custom made, the inlet and outlet parts are custom made as well as the mounting flanges on the side. We bought it from them like that. It's a 700 hp capable bell core. We chose that IC because the end tank design is about as good as it gets for us, and it fit within our size range. When I got the IC, I had to cut out the factory front boxed crossmember and replaced it with a chrome moly reinforcement that was easily as strong without taking up any space. Then added the mounting brackets on the chrome moly cross bar. The IC inlet and outlet pipes were modified to fit perfectly in the stock locations (although they're 3" in/out). So as far as custom intercoolers go, it's the best you can buy that get's you the closest to where you want to be.

That intercooler setup is simply sick - do you weld up those end tanks or is that how it is sold? Did you opt for a "off the shelf" Millege cam (CS-16 or 8SR/S3-16) or did you have one made specifically?

I just ordered an 044 pump today, so I'm certain that I won't be hitting 100% duty cycle any more!
I'm pretty sure the cam is off the shelf, although I can't say for certain because it's second hand. I have NO specs for it other than it works well.

I appreciate the kind words!

did you need to change to after market springs and retainers? if not it would have been a CS-16. otherwise its a 8SR/S3-14 with race valve springs.

The specs for the cams on his website are the tip of the iceberg. If you get in touch with him he may have several other profiles to suggest in function of your requirements.

The cam is not an "off the shelf cam" it was a cam that I had spec'd.

Then email me the specs! You told me last time you didn't have any. It's off the shelf don't argue.

Pauly, stiffer valve springs and better retainers were required.
