Okay so today i got some work done. I've grinded down the Turbo mount to fit the turbo as all Garrett GTxxxxR series require.

1 Thing i've noted is the TiAL .83 housing is fatter at the bottom then thet standard Garrett housing 95ONE used.

Here's the 2 turbos showing the difference. picture is from 95ONEs thread on his gt30 install.

You see the clamps holding the turbine housing, the housing looks like it folds back

Here it looks like the housing is squashed around the clamps

Came out blury but you get the idea.

Plans for tomorrow is to go find a longer turbo mount bolt and figer out how to adapt the water fitting and if to run the turbo water temp sensor or not

Not much to update, still trying to look for a longer bolt for the turbo mount. my dad went out to his "special places" to have a look while i've been out figering out how to adapt the water lines.

If anyone has pictures of that they have done to adapt water lines to a DBB turbo, PM me or reply here somewhere.

I have a source for 14mm x 1.5 dual port Banjo bolts... Let me know if you want to switch up and go banjo inlet / outlet..

FWIW this is the route I plan to take, with banjo fittings to accept AN line fittings.. Dual port inlet, single port outlet, retains the stock coolant line routing, while allowing the lines to be routed to clear the compressor housing, while replacing everything with generally available parts (crush washers, fittings, and lines)

Thanks for that john, we've actually figered out how we're adapting water lines.

We're cutting the banjo off from under the temp sensor, tapping it 3/8" NPT and (forget the rest of the sizes) putting a male - male fitting to a 90 degree with swivels on both ends with another male to male fitting.

And on the other side will be a male - male to a 90 with a barb.

if that makes any sence.

Can be tapped in line, drilled into the inlet or outlet banjo, or deleted.

My turbo water pump will be managed by the stand alone controlling the relay, with a temp sensor more than likely tapped into the turbo outlet banjo bolt.

Still working out fine details, but it will all come together in time!

i was going to use my turbo timer unit to run the water pump if i couldn't adapt the origiinal water lines but right now i'm trying to get the temp sensor in the same position as it was originally.

Not much of an update but spoke to my mate who works at a local auto store and work out how to adapt the water lines. orded the fittings and should be here next week. the temp sensor will be mounted on a different angle, if it dosn't clear the throttle body, i'll modify the plug and head, if i cant do that as in theres still no room i'll remove it plug the hole and relocate it or use my turbo timer to run the turbo water pump.

The 125mm bolt to bolt the turbo to the turbo mount is short and cannot be used, people have either drilled out some of the mount to re use it but we've located a 140mm bolt and just need to order it and just cut it down.
It's not actually a bolt, but a cap screw (alan key head)

i picked up the proflow bits, slighty "bling". Made most of the shim but will post pictures of it when it finished.

Theres a slight mistake. there should be 2x 14mm to -8 AN fitting but instead i got 2x 3/8 to -8AN which i only needed 1. That problem got solved and the other fitting is on order and will do a direct swap when it arives.
