This is my first ever post ANYWHERE!!!!
I have never posted in a forum EVER before!!!! ( I just watched the Pelosi speech, I use her as a mentor for telling the truth)
I wanted to say hello over here and congrats to JohnD!!! My thoughts on my 09 C2S PDK @ 1700 miles. It just SUCH a versatile car!!! It does all the things my 993 TT did but better. It does all the things my 996 GT3 with more grace. Its as exciting as my 997 GT3. It doesnt have the howl of the GT3 but man its bringing a 50 cal machine gun to a popsicle stick fight. I was coming home from Lancaster on hwy 14 and there were 3 cars behind 2 semis. The three are poking their heads out to see if there is traffic but no one would pass. I was a tenth of a mile away and I reached down put it in sport plus and hammered it. Wew,#1 Wew#2, Wew #3,#4 and #5. All passed within a few seconds. Its just such a good all around I dare say this would be the choice if you were going to track less than 10 days a year and wanted a daily. Interior: I have the stone grey interior and its absolutely perfect for the desert. Vented seats are an advancement that is up there with Bottled water. I thought bottled water was the dumbest thing every but I didnt consider one thing Portability. I have one all the time now. The vented seats are just SO great here when its 115. The luxury of the interior is as good as my AMG C 63. Nav, upgraded stereo and the best stereo I have had in a Porsche. The PDK paddles on the wheel are good and they make sense after a month or so. I dont have full leather but the way the 997 interior is done its not needed. The 996 was SUPER plain and benifited from full leather. With this one you can take it or leave it. I have seen full leather and it does look nice but not necessary. I can understand it but I dont feel like I had to HAVE it like the 996. Exterior: just great. I dont know if I am a fan of the LED lights, and I dont know if the way Porsche cut them off unlike the wraparounds on the 997.1 The saggy rear lights are growing on me. The Carerra white is just a beautiful color. I chose it for the desert. And White over grey is one of the best combos I have seen. Its a FAST car and its amazing. I would like the NEW GT3 Rear spoiler though |

Hello there, Old Guy.
(jee, how old is old these days, anyway?) These cars are great, aren't they? I have three years and 33,000 miles on my C2S and I still get a huge smile every day I get in. (Well, every day that I prize the keys away from my wife who has an even bigger smile than mine). I waited 30-odd years for this car and was afraid that it would be a huge let-down but it continues to astonish with its range of performance and versatility. |
