Default Bought a 968 while at Barrett-Jackson!

Last year I sold my '89 951 after 10 years of very enjoyable ownership. To be honest I'm not exactly sure why I let it go. I guess I just felt it was time and I found a buyer who was a fellow enthusiast that I knew would take very good care of it.

So after a couple of months of seller's remorse I decided that I really wanted another Porsche in the stable. I've always wanted a cabriolet and I saw that there are a bunch of affordable Boxsters on the market. But the more I read about the IMS bearing failures I decided that I really didn't want that looming over my head.

So a very good friend of mine offered me his 968 cab. I've always felt that the 968s were drop dead gorgeous and it was a cabriolet to boot! I'm already familiar with the platform and could step right into keeping up on the maintenance with my basic knowledge.

In case this car looks familiar it was sold to me by sh944 from RL and the KCWS. Scott and I have known each other for 10 years which made the decision an easy one. We did the deal while we were at Barrett-Jackson. So while I didn't buy it from the auction I can honestly say I bought it while I was there!

Nice cab! I wondered how long you would be without a Porsche.
