Here a kkk k26-8 : (same turbine A/R : 9,5cm² 6 cm radius x 0.63 x 2.54 = 9.5 cm²)

the ATP snail is more bulky ...

There is a big difference between the KKK housing in this picture versus the Garrett .63 with the KKK bolt spacing. They are not physically the same size and they are not measured in the same fashion. They don't even compare when it comes to backpressure readings at the same boost level.

On the left is a Turbonetics KKK replica housing with a Stg 3 wheel and the right is a GT3076R .63 Garrett w/ KKK bolt spacing.

You will not need the T4 housing for your goals, so don't bother even considering it.

I used Garrett's standard T3 .63 housing that ATP modifies for KKK bolt spacing. I posted pics in the first couple of pages of this thread.

To complement this post, on a 3.0 8V motor running 18 psi with a GTX3076R with a 0.82 A/R turbine housing I'm seeing a peak back pressure of 22 psi under WOT in 4th gear past ~6000 rpm. In lower rpm ranges I hardly ever see more than 20 psi of back pressure regardless of gears. I have not been able to measure back pressure in 5th gear past ~6000 rpm (!).

you'd be making quite some power then, and have plenty room to increase the boost.

Well, more boost is not what it needs - wider roads definitely is.

Are there any other folks on here who measure back pressure?
