Curt,
Those look like the handles I purchased. I went with some cheap ones from ebay for R&D. According Jager themselves, central locking can't be retained with these handles. My first order of business is getting the lock mechanisms to work. Then, I'll see how to retain the central locking switches. It may be as easy as fab-ing a mount for the switch.

Ever since I hurt my wrist I get a jab of pain every time I open the door on my 951. My Subaru has pull-style handles and I never have a problem. Besides aesthetics, not wincing every time I open the door is my motivator.

VW had central locking as an option, didn't they? It should just be a matter of where the switch is located. Anyone have access to ETOS to look at the IPB?

Once I get the handles in I'll do some more research on what options exist for power locks. Did the Mk2 VWs have power locks available?

I'm waiting on parts too, so I feel your frustration. Hopefully we'll all get our parts soon - I want to drive my damn car!

Hong Kong maybe?

Did you get any kind of tracking for the handles or at least an estimate?

Aaron... we have space, and will have machining done (either by a shop, or by us on a machine we purchase)...

I'm stoked!

BTW, hope the concert went well!

I say keep it simple and original. If you want your handles to look more modern just paint them in the color of the car and call it a day.

After having handled the handles in question, I must say I am interested in seeing them on the car... much more modern, but still in character!

We will wrap it up, and fit them... looking forward to it!

I think that JoKa and I will be able to offer a product that'll be a good alternative to what's currently available as well as a look that's still aesthetically pleasing. And make no mistake, these handles will truly be custom after we finish with them.

How dare you say JoKA and custom in the same post!

slowly my customization is eeking into my NA... I need to stop that trend and refocus on the 951...

First prototype completed last night and it appears that we have a valid concept. More to follow...
