Curt-
When you reinstall the gasket, you might want to try using some hylomar hpf (the blue stuff) along with the paper gasket. I used this combo when I did mine, about 5,000 miles ago and no leaks. I think someone on rennlist suggested it but can't remember who.

Those will probably be the hardest 34 miles for me to put on a car... but tomorrow they will go on...

Well, if I reset it to zero, then all the miles can be from you!

All good things to those who wait... and for the time being I am waiting....
Today I am retensioning the belts, draining and flushing the PS system (little bit of a whine on left hand low speed turns), and taking my son out for a movie and lunch... |

NICE! How legal of you to come to a stop before taking the photo! (Unless you just locked all four wheels up while in motion, in which case, I commend your camera stability!)

Well, she is now at or near 100350 between last night and today... been a long couple of weeks, but she is running like a champ! Actually did the belt retension today, and swapped PS fluid.. had a good little bit of time under the car, with the belly pan off, and she is clean as a whistle under the car.. 1000 miles since she got buttoned up (Yes Charlie, that is 1000 miles in a week!), and other than a slight coolant weep on one bolt everything is looking perfect! Tomorrow bring a few more miles, and perhaps a BS belt retension.. it is whining more than I care to hear, even though the tension is set correctly! Se la vie.. She still needs the alignment, even though it is VERY close to being dead on right now... I plan to get the alignment this week, and the wheels balanced! |

BTW, Minta really liked driving your NA. She told me it was different enough from driving her 968 that it was an interesting comparison. And she was really digging your wheel in there too.
