I didn't realize the race was that long. Really puts the mechanicals and drivers to a test. A/C on the beast?

And Åke shows the true dimensional extremes of this hobby. Spin balancing his own crank! I have my own engine hoist. He's 10x further out!

No A/C. If you look at the photo that shows the GPS, there is a temp display in the lower right corner, it's reading 107 degrees interior temperature. I have a remote temp sensor in the engine bay, but it cuts out when the temps get too high, so it wasn't displaying (on the top line of the white temp display).

The car was using some coolant all year and it was when I was backing it off the trailer, in the alley, when it let loose with that large cloud of undeniability. It was 5-8 this year.

Well Glen, I have a business since 1978 where I have been working with engine high performance modifications. Cylinder head porting jobs have been my specialty. Now being retired I am focusing on finishing all the different projects of my own which I have started but never completed.

Mounting the mini starter under the oil pan with a 10mm spacer resulted in a very tight fit. Material had to be grinded off the oil pan, the starter motor had to be clocked slightly by milling the bolt holes, the electrical terminal had to be relocated.
