I keep looking at the CleanerVinyl ultrasonic setup and it seems expensive for 3D printed hardware, but it gives me flexibility on which ultrasonic cleaner to use.
iSonic P4875II is based off a commercial ultrasonic cleaner and is a turn-key proposition, but there's no upgrade path. I'm not familiar with iSonic products. Reviews I find are either for defunct companies or $4k+ machines. Many of the DIY setups are based around a specific ultrasonic tank, or specific hardware (e.g., rotisserie motor only available from them). |

For just under $1000 the Kirmuss machine is apparently a good deal if you don’t want DIY

I think I'm going to order the Spin-Clean and worry about an ultrasonic setup later. I have a specific ultrasonic cleaner I'd like to get - made in Germany and dual frequency. I've been wanting to get an ultrasonic cleaner for a long time and this may push me over the edge, but it won't be just for cleaning vinyl. Putting the brakes on this for now.
I'm not sure I'm completely happy with the turntable. Some compromises at this price point that I don't know if I can live with, but I'm not ready to spend $1500+. Not sure if I'm going to keep the Fluance and sell it when I'm ready to upgrade, or just send it back. I need to spend more time with it and I'm waiting for some albums to come in. I think it's probably the best option for a sub $500 TT right now, but it's apparent that this is entry-level. Time to head back down to the garage to continue cleaning. On day 2 and it looks worse now than when I started! |

Good luck and enjoy. Btw if you are a Neil Young fan, live at the Cellar Door on LP is spectacular

The Fluance RT85 is being returned. Not sure what I'll replace it with yet - prefer an S-shape tonearm, but am open to just about anything at this point. Rega? Pro-Ject?

Both good choices. Not sure what I would buy at entry level these days

Rega Exact. When it wears out I'll revisit. I almost bought it with the Rega Apheta 3.

Never a dull moment. Was having some belt tracking issues and found the plinth was damaged. Motor was pushed up and wasn't sitting straight. Expected a bunch of hassle trying to get it replaced, but nope - after sending some pictures they shipped out a replacement immediately, complete with new cartridge. Picked it up last night and did a preliminary setup which I'll need to verify this weekend.
Receiver had to be hard reset too. Couldn't get it to sound right on 2 or 2.1 and it kept failing the last step of The Audyssey setup. No idea what that was about but it seems to be all working correctly now. |

Having a stand made: https://petedeeblefurniture.com/prod...delity-version
Mine will have no lip on the top and and no cushion. It will sit under the TV in the media room with the turntable and center channel speaker sitting on top. |
