![]() I discovered my '87 951 which has the Griffiths conversion a/c unit needs a larger diameter belt. The factory belt for alternator and a/c is 6PK1000, but the Kuehl compressor kit needs a 6PK1035 belt.
I couldn't figure why I was having so much trouble getting my new belt (6PK100 from Zim's) to fit even after adjusting the turnbuckle all the way in. So I inspected the old, frayed belt that still had a number showing and it was the 1035. I hope this helps anybody replacing their belt. |
