Am I the first TRUE air-cooled owner in here??
My first thread......
I love my 1984 Targa. Not much stock on her any more....brakes, suspension, engine....all done by yours truly. There, that's the technical content. I guess I just wasted bandwidth. |

Still trying to make up for your lost 928? Next time I see it, I'm going to molest it.

I'm currently molesting my 911 while working on what to buy next.....I've got the budget approved by the wifey......probably going to be a 964 or 993, but an OB may not be out of the picture either. I need simplicity! I'm actually going to wait and see what's in Scottsdale next January and see if there's something of interest.

Well, there goes the neighborhood!!
A 911? A quirky, wonderful car that is sometimes maligned by those that can't drive 'em or don't understand 'em.

Ed, did you make it home with 100 octane and did you mix it down or fill an empty tank?
My next drive is going to include a trip down to VPRacing in Ontario for a top off. |

I did make it back with 11 gallons of Nevada's finest 100 octane @ $5.99/gallon. I mix it 1:3 with 91 from the pump. That gives me somewhere between 93 and 94 in my tank, which is what I've got the chip set for. I've got my new wheels on order, so that's Ruby's Xmas present, but I've gotta put a twin plug setup on next year!

Hey Cory...what's the latest on your engine?
Hope nobody here had too deep of a question, not too many here to answer!
