Notice the WSM clutch pedal has a bump for a stop, but the stop was never implemented. (My '85 has the cast bump on the back, but in the pics, Stefan's '88 does not.)

I suppose you could crudely bolt something to the floor, like BMW's do, for example, but I have a no-drill-baby-drill policy, so I made a bracket. It hits the clutch arm at a higher point.

Cool..thanks Ken. The carpet, sound deadening was a victim of the stopless setup I had before. Not as bad as it looks. Plus I replaced my interior last summer so I may need to tidy up that area .

Thanks for the notes on the assist spring. I found those when I added my spring. I drove my car for two years without that spring but got the part from Giovanni's part out thread not too long ago. Feels like air now with the spring!

Thumbs up Drive Update - S4

As stated, I started with 1cm of adjustment (1cm of visible threads below the rubber bumper). This was exactly where the clutch is disengaged so about 2” off the floor. It’ll take a bit of fiddling to get the adjustment where shifting and comfort are ideal. You definitely take for granted how little clutch pedal throw is needed to disengage the clutch, at least in the S4, and it’s great to have an inexpensive, easy value upgrade to give some control and adjustment.

On Keith's GTS (single disc), he was happy at ~1/4" (6mm), on my '85 (dual disc), just a few turns out from the minimum was good.
