Thumbs up Working AC!!!

The AC only worked for about 6 month after I bought the 951. It would not hold a charge after the first summer. Well, after 5+ years I replaced the compressor, drier and every seal I could get at I was able I was able to get it to blow 58 degrees!

The system was converted to 134a back in '02. Not sure if I can do any better than that or not. But for right now I'm feeling pretty good!

Awesome Steve...

My N/A has worked on and off since I bought her (had to replace the condenser due to a hole this year, and it was also leaking from the low pressure switch), other than that I am seeing roughly 58deg vent temps.. at ambient 102..

The turbo AC hasn't worked since I bought her... but will when she gets back on the road!

58 sounds pretty close to about as good as it is going to get, seeing as the system was originally set up for R12...

The ambient temp was 81. I'll drive it in the heat of the day today and see how it does.

58 from 102 is excellent. Was it converted to 134?

Okay so over lunch I dropped the 951 off at a shop that has one of those fancy automatic/programmable AC machines. They just called me back and were able to suck it down for an hour, bleed off additional moisture and air and got a bit more 134a into the system. Ambient temp 85 and center vent blowing 45. I think I'm going to call that good.

I'm beyond jealous. Joka helped me get working AC (after never having it in the 951) but now it blows slightly cool with a "full" charge. If I didn't have to reseal an entire 968 motor I'd be dropping it off to get it worked over.
