They look serious, I guess I will find out how strong the stock ones are.
Do you have any pics of the tranny mount for the S/RS
You have set the bar high but I will have to put up a thread of mine, I have gone more 'different'

The S/RS transmission mount looks exactly like stock, but the character of the rubber is much harder.

Thanks for all your notes.

The paintwork is nearly done, and this time next week all of the parts will be in the trailer heading home. I'll post some pictures when it's in the shop.

Well, the car is back in the shop and on the "rotisserie."
Been working on installing parts--starting with the heat shields, brake lines, etc. Sort of trying to work from the inside out--my notes say to do the brake and fuel lines and pedal clusters first! I'll try to get some photos posted before the weekend is over.

OK, I took what I think are some interesting photos. Did you know these logos are on body parts?

This is on the rear sections behind the bumper . . .

And this is on the rear "seats" . . .

Here are some shots of the rear brake lines in place.

And these are shots of the insulation in the tunnel installed.

More to follow, as the pedals are all in place and soon the car will be off the rotissiere.

Julian, by all means keep this stuff coming. Fantastic build and thanks for the details / pics.

From what I read elsewhere you were still tossing up what engine to put in. Wonder if you've made any progress?
Also wonder if there would be any lessening of the crumple zones with the cage and front bracing?

The one that is near the rear seats looks just like the VW and Audi stampings that are on my driver's side inside sail panel, just bellow where the hatch strut mounts. (Part number 944.502.902.04)

The insulation is the factory 944 turbo set--you can purchase them from a dealer. Can't recall the price since I bought them several years ago as I accumulated parts for the car.

I'm making some progress--try to get some photos for you this month.

Thanks for all the positive comments.
