First time over here in 6 months, guess I should stop by more often. Seems pretty quiet so I quit checking.

Default 87 951 with rogue afm chip

Hi! Im new on the forum. I have just pulled the k26 off my car to be rebuilt with a billet compressor wheel. I'm running rogues' afm chip & LR manual boost controller. I am considering replacing the stock WG with a 40mm Synapse. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated, such as where to buy adapter plates etc.

Get the Lindsey DP unit, it bolts ups directly and does the same job.

Just stopping by for my yearly donation to John

Too bad things have died down here.

I'm thinking about posting a DIY thread on making a harness for a standalone system. Do you guys think there would be interest? The Link G4+ Atom ECU lists at $925 and could be assembled with a fully terminated harness, boost solenoid and MAP sensor for around $1200-$1300. This entry level ECU would exceed much of capabilities of what is available in the piggyback approach with DME.

I don't see why not. Building a harness for a standalone is what scares people away.

Please. Since starting the rebuild of my 951 engine harness, I'm always on the lookout for good write-ups on harness building techniques.

Do it, and perhaps a breakdown of exactly what this setup could do compared to a $1200 piggyback ?

I've decided against this idea mainly because there are too many variables to deal with when the assembly is handled by the end user. From a support standpoint, I would be setting myself up for an inevitable nightmare because everyone is going to have a different outlook as to how much attention to detail is required to build the harness correctly. When it isn't assembled correctly, I will be left having to troubleshoot every aspect of their assembly. I'm not interested in having to deal with this potential. I spend enough time educating new standalone owners with just getting the system installed and running!

I do not want to open up any opportunity that will potentially reflect badly on the product. With that said, the Atom ecu option or any other I sell will be sold in the PnP kit form.
