Weekend Cleaning and Beautification
I did some cleaning over the weekend...I didn't take any before pics of the rims but I have some after pics...I plan on doing an Andreas style cleaning sometime this December/January and wanted to get a feel of how many days to dedicate to the "Helmet I Winter Olympic 993 Games"
Rims: After scrubbing on the wheel well, I decided about an hour in each wheel well will get them nice and pretty, then another hour per corner for the suspension pieces. I let Xenit soak for about 20 minutes in these two spots then scrubbed for a bit with an old shop rag: The wheel wells were making such a mess I decided to stop and wait until the future so I can prepare myself with brushes and a drop cloth...All the black goo was coming off in little marbles. As you can see my RSRs need some polishing help, and my rotor hats need some love too (yes those are "Big Reds" but in black - a rare factory option specified for my C2S: I also cleaned the exhaust tips: Brett |

After all that I hope you waxed the rims as well. Look great BTW.

I didn't do any wax, just a 20 minute soak on each rim with 303 aerospace protectant...
Again, I was amazed at how quickly the wheel wells cleaned up, but also amazed at how much of the gunk there was and how much of a mess it made! I definitely was not prepared to have a 1" coating of that stuff on my pretty garage floor If Mark or Darin sees this they will understand why I want them to release the WB big oval tips |

After three weekends of doing random cleaning of the chassis and doing multiple layers of Optimum Poli and Opti Seal and for peace of mind checking the multiple systems with my multimeter verifying everything works as designed this is the result:

This weekend is going to be really hot here in Southern California...high pressure zone, Santa Ana winds, etc...so no way I'm sweating in the garage for sure!
The only thing I really want to do now is paint my rotor hats and clean up my vented discs: Anyone have any ideas how to make the rotors look nice and fresh again?
