I found the fix.

There is 4 rubber bushings that hold a plate, that holds the airbag. The bushings wear and the weight of the airbag will lean on the plate and blow the horn when you stop.

It seems the easiest diy fix is to fill the bushing holes with black silicone.

Good point, but the traffic through here is minimal right now. Heck I have a DIY and it's got like 5 hits in three days...

Disconnect the battery, let it sit for a half hour or so (this is common information you will find on the internet. I have removed hundreds of bags with and without disconnecting power or waiting 30 minutes after disconnecting power, and never had an issue). Take a long t30 IIRC torx bit, remove the two screws on the backside of the steering wheel. Pull off airbag, unclip and set aside. Remove the bushing plate and replace. Install airbag just as you took it off. About a 10 minute job.

One other comment. I had a hard time because I loosened one side too much and could not get the other side to budge. After I tightened it back up, I just "cracked" one side then the other and it came off easily. I recently replaced my airbag frame and I think the price was in the $50 dollar range shipped from Sunset Imports in Oregon.
