John,
I saw your GTS and thought it was my car at first and wondered why I didn't recognize the photo! LOL! Then I noticed no rub strips...not my car afterall!

Just added Carrera III wheels, and think it updates the car really well. Currently "sleeping" under car cover in Maine for the winter. Also added Momo Club 3 steering wheel. Fooling around with some photo editing software and "cartoonizing" pixs, looks pretty cool.

Here is my EURO85 at the same event! Good times! GREAT TURN OUT thanks to the D/FW gang heading our way! One of their members (I think it was Mike) drove down, parked the car, opened the hood, looked around for 15 minutes and then drove all the way back home! LOL! He is DEDICATED! He had an appointment with the fam at 2:30 pm he had to make! I think he had a good time though anyway!
A couple of months ago I basically did the same thing in my '84 that he did...I just started driving...six hours later I made it back home! No biggie. Anyway, here is my $3600 EURO85 (now have about $7k in it for parts, shipping and little repairs, nothing big...it didn't need anything to much. Exterior is a bit rough but looks good in pics, interior is near perfect and it is pretty dang fast!)

A beach/inlet just east of Port Jefferson and I guess 5 miles west of our house. It's nice in the summer.
And I guess the winter here is better than Maine b/c we have grey harbor seals that come down for the clams on the rocks in front of our house. A neighbor is a diver and said he found quite collection of shells around the rocks. |

I thought it might be around Port Jefferson. I was pretty sure it wasn't taken recently. (like in the last month or so) We are lucky that we aren't getting what NY and Philly has been getting. Get any pictures of the seals? Hope your GTS doesn't blow a seal. That's just way too personal.

So here is the update on he EURO85 save! Remember the interior on this car was excellent (only missing some trim bits here and there and two fairly small tears in the drivers seat bolster) and while the paint was not great I thought it might be salvageable. The mechanicals are pretty well in order. A bit low compression on 2 cylinders explains it missing HP, but nothing I can't live with...it is not a track car or a drag car afterall.
So, I have had the paint DEEP CLEANED (ie polished to the max) and a new stereo put in, I have spent about 4 hours per wheel well cleaning and now have the new wheels and tires I have been SO EXCITED about! The last couple of things are to put a new exhaust on (read louder and lighter) and get the sunroof panel evened up a bit (low on the rear passenger side corner) and then see if there is an easy and not to expensive fix for a surge under 75% to 95% throttle.
