It's all apart. Problem found. One of the main bearings was just about ready to slin. Also one of the connecting rod bearings were one their way to spin but hasn't yet. I think this is as close as you can get to a total disaster. The crankshaft journals look good. The one that jad the really bad bearing has some copper deposites on one half (probably when the engine was sbut down after the drag strip run). I think it will polish out. I will take the crankshaft to an automotive machine shop for an assesment. But I thinknit will be ok with only a micro polish.
