Hi all..

I guess I'm just going to write this post/thread as a "train of jumbled thoughts", since - every time I return from a trip like this, I find the words difficult to come by? So - maybe it's better, rather than attempting to do all in one post/thread, I'll try to do one "event" at a time?

For that - there are bunches of pics for this threadâ?¦ And, in the next few days, Pat and I will try to post others - similar, but yet different from...

My mom

I never thought my first real serious blog entry would encapsulate something so personal and private, but I suppose thats what blogs are for.

Last Sunday afternoon I lost my mother after a courageous 15yr battle with cancer. When I say lost, I mean through my fingers went my mother, best friend, guidance counselor, worlds greatest cook, psychotherapist, preacher, and perfection realized. Most importantly, she was my hero.

Maurice Maeterlinck's book, The Fourth Dimension, argues that Time is the fourth dimension. It doesn't exist in itself, but rather is always relative to the individual's idea of time. He used a curve to illustrate this theory. Standing on the Present, on the highest point of the curve, you can look back and see the Past, or look forward and see the Future, all in the same instant. Or if you stand off to one side of the curve, your eye wanders from one to the other w/out any distinction.

A few years ago, we acquired a 1960 Super 90. It was purchased from the widow of a man who had begun restoration on it. To make matters a bit more complicated the previous owner also owned a business making interiors for very early 356's. Being a 356 guy, there was alot of parts there, and their sons had the duty after he passed of "organizing" the parts. Unfortunately, they aren't "car guys" and a lot of the parts that came with ours belong to some other cars, and we also...
