The Inside Passage ( Photo Essay )

Posted 11-16-2010 at 09:19 PM by Robby in WA
A friend needed help running his fishing boat back from Alaska.

We started in Petersburg, Alaska. My buddy runs his gill net boat out of there w/his family. They have to go back down early to start school. They had a great year. The sockeye runs, both down here and up there, have been the best in decades.

A lots happened since I last updated, and since its late, I'll have to edit this later, but here are some more pics.

We had some of the interior work done at Ted Blake's, a local and very good 356 specialist. They also put in the windshield and rear window, as well as assembled the parking brake, and I'm sure a bunch of other stuff.

Rennwish in Haiti....

Posted 01-25-2010 at 04:32 PM by John D.
In the off-chance I can update this while in Haiti, I'll try to post here as well...

Hi folks,

Really quickly as I'm trying to get a few things completed before I leave. The arrangements are to arrive in the DR - and then take a couple of options - I may have a flight into Cayes from a wonderful Pastor, if we can link up. The other option is drive to Cayes. If it's the latter, then I won't get there until late tomorrow night is my guess.. As well...

The funny looking little car.

-Yes my MINI is a bit funny looking.
-Just because I have a British Union Jack on the roof doesn't mean I don't love my country any less than anyone else.
-No I don't want to race. It's powered my two chipmunks, no mater what I can't win nor would I race on the street anyway... AX is another story...
-No I'm not gay but thanks for asking.
-Do you really need to be an inch off my bumper, Mr. Ford F250.
